Towards early growth

They call us a unicorn. We prefer to focus on the global solution to the asbestos problem and build factories in Europe and beyond as quickly as possible.

We intend to accelerate our journey from TRL7 to TRL9 to apply the AC Minerals technology on an industrial scale. Therefore the Final Investment Decision is foreseen for Q2 2024.
Testing AC Minerals end products will happen in ongoing joint research projects with future off takers, in which off takers receive the end material for their applications and validation. For this scaling up phase we need more working capital. Therefore we may apply for several governmental subsidies. They require cofinancing, varying from €700.000 to €4.500.000.

We are inviting funding partners to join us in realizing this worldwide breakthrough techology, by:

- convertible loan

- shares

- investment certificates

- donations

Our key assets
• Fixed Assets. Asbeter's site in Spijkenisse contains a well-equipped lab space and special area for research and analysis purposes, as well as a demonstration plant for safe processing of asbestos cement with the AC Minerals technology. This process takes place in a closed containment area of the demonstration plant. All process steps are sampled and analysed, using meticulous XRF and Particle Size Distribution technology. The Spijkenisse demonstration plant is capable of processing up to 15,000-50,000 kilos of asbestos cement plates and tubes per year. Asbeter is participating in reference projects with industrial offtakers in which we explore different applications of our end products based on their customers' needs. We will monitor these applications over a longer period of up to 24 months.
• IP Assets. The patented AC Minerals process is based on the absence of a need for adding chemicals to reach an alkaline environment at high pH for literally dissolving asbestos fibres. Our process is sustainable, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective.
• The Team. Our core team has sustained experience and a strong record of accomplishment, including all the relevant competencies and experience needed for a successful innovation project and its commercialisation. Asbeter's AC Minerals MT members bring relevant experience in varying stages of developing start-ups until a successful IPO.
• The Network. We have an extensive network of public and private investors interested in contributing to solving the asbestos problem. They first want us to reach the Final Investment Decision for builing the flagship plant. The Dutch Innovation Quarter of the province of South-Holland, the Province of Noord-Brabant's Development Agency BOM and the Ministry of Economic Affairs provide us with business and financing advice.

Business Model Canvas
Our business model is built on 3-fold revenue streams:
1. Asbestos cement remediators pay us for the processing of asbestos cement per ton at a rate of €251 per ton.
2. Customers in the cement and paint industry pay us at a rate of €51,00-73.50 per ton of purchased calcium silicate or carbonate slurry.
3. Other processing companies and competitors pay us to license our technology with a 2.5M upfront fee, 4.5M signing fee and 2% royalty fee both for handling asbestos cement and for End product produced.

Our key resource is the patented AC Minerals process, which only requires water and energy as external resources to fully dissolve asbestos fibres and regain 100% of calcium silicate hydrate. The patent is based on the absence of a need for adding chemicals to reach an alkaline environment at high pH.

Leverage on our patented process, our revenue will first come from both processing asbestos-contaminated waste (front-end) and selling our carbon-neutral end products (back-end). We will start doing this in The Netherlands, where we will have a guaranteed supply following the enactment of a ban on landfilling asbestos-contaminated material. At the back end, several significant actors in the cement, concrete and paint industries have already confirmed their high interest in our end products. After the successful commissioning of the flagship plant in 2025, we will expand to other countries in Europe and worldwide and generate a third revenue stream by licensing our AC Mineral process. We expect to sell at least five licenses before 2030.
